This is becoming a popular move in the business world. Critics surface with questions or claims against a company/foundation, but executives do not sit around allowing rumors to swirl. These executives have begun to address the concerns directly, head on, as genuinely as they can. Netflix is infamous for this tactic when they went through their mail-in DVD service split and then back again.
The reason I like this approach is that the CEO or leader of the organization stands up for his people and mission. He takes the criticisms and answers them. Whether the answers are considered good enough or not is up for debate in every instance but you can never fault them for trying to at least seem transparent. Who would have thought that there were decent people left in the world that stand up for what they believe in and don’t just cater to the media’s coverage!
