How Myrtle Beach Has Refocused Me

This week I am taking time to travel. Some is forced because of a sick relative and some is a small escape from reality. On my way to Destin, Florida I am currently in Myrtle Beach, SC. While some business has been accomplished, the trip has already been worthwhile because I have been reminded how important it is for entrepreneurs to travel.

My favorite benefit of travel is time to clear my mind. Each one of us gets so wrapped up inMyrtle Beach our daily lives that we forget what is really important in life. Spending time with family and friends. Sharing good times and great experiences. Nothing can compare with sitting on a beach with people you love while sharing jokes and stories. It’s times like this that allow me to push myself so hard while working. Short sprints of high-capacity work need to be broken up with small vacations. It gives me something to look forward to while also keeping me sane.

My hope the rest of the week is to strengthen the relationships that matter. Enjoy the company of others and do my best to put a smile on each persons face. When a relative is sick we are reminded that each of us has a small number of days allotted to us. Live each day as if you will never get it back because you won’t. I am refocusing this week and highly suggest that you take some time to do the same!

  1. Oh, man. I needed to read this, though I didn’t necessarily need to be reminded. : )

My wife and I are hoping to get a vacation and some travel squeezed in during the next four or five weeks. (I know… It’s not planned yet, which is scary cause that means it could not happen.)

Like it didn’t the year prior. And like it’s only happened once in the past seven years.

Come on, Stan… Vacation. Travel. Vacation. Travel. Vacation. Travel.

Make them a priority. And you can quote Anthony to help justify it!

    • Glad I could help Stan. I went through a period of unscheduled vacations that never occurred. Break out of the slump by just dropping everything and going somewhere. A weekend or day trip works. You and your wife enjoying each other and the unique experience. Memories count.

If you find time, let me know how it goes!
